Jeremiah 5:23-25

The Voice

²³     But with stubborn and defiant hearts, this people
        ignored Me and left Me for another.
²⁴     It never occurs to them to say,
        “Let us stand in awe of the Eternal our God,
    For He sends the rain—both the autumn and the spring rain—
        and He brings the harvest at just the right time year after year.”
²⁵     It is your sins that hold back the rain.
        It is your rebellion that keeps good things from happening to you.
